Hornblende, pyroxene, and biotite are some of the minerals in andesite.
It usually forms along the Andes Mountains, where it is common.

Some uses for andesite are buildings and construction.
The andesite rock was named after the Andes Mountain.
Most common in the worlds volcanic area.
andesite rocks are found near the subduction zones of the ocean tectonic plates, along the continental margins.
